This blog was originally dedicated to my baby Penelope, the sweetest little Angora rabbit in the world. We had to say goodbye to baby Pen on 8/17/2012; it was the most heartbreaking day of my life. I still have some pictures of her Iove to share with the world. She always brought a smile to anyone who met her. She was disabled, but she had a zest for life.
On 10/27/2012 we adopted Maddie and Oliver, two seven-year-old babies.
Maddie is a Holland Lop. She has a cataract and can't see out of one eye, and I have a feeling she's deaf. Maddie's a shy baby and has cheeks for days.
Oliver is a Jersey Wooly. He's outgoing and silly and loves to dance. He takes good care of Maddie. He's brushed every other day or more, but still manages to make himself a mess.
As you may or may not know, we said goodbye to our sweet little Penelope on August 17.
We adopted two older babies, Maddie and Oliver, last month. Maddie has a cataract in one eye, so she’s very shy and depends on Oliver a lot. They’re so sweet!

I think I might dedicate this blog to them now.
Penelope was laid to rest this afternoon.

She was the most amazing little baby, the sweetest little angel. Saying goodbye was the hardest thing to do, but I know she’s in bunny Heaven now, hopping around with her sister. Her life was too short, and it breaks my heart that this happened. But I’m so glad we had her, so thankful she was brought into a family who all loved her, disabilities and all.
She was pampered, loved, and spoiled her whole life. Not a day went by, not even a minute went by, that she wasn’t being held, or pet, or cradled, or fed, or talked to and played with. She had 27/4 attention. She had her own little fan so she could always stretch out and enjoy a breeze.
She’s so missed. No bunny will ever be like Pen, she was the most loving little baby we could have ever asked for, and life will not be the same without her.@1 year ago
Today Penelope went to the nursing home to see the woman who does physical therapy and to visit with the old people. They loved her and she loved them.@1 year ago
Penelope is being put to sleep tomorrow. She’s gotten really sick and it’s time to tell her goodbye. I’m not ready to say goodbye.
She is the sweetest little baby angel and nothing will be the same without her.@1 year ago
